Hydraulic Valve Lash Adjustors (HLA)

Eliminates the need for periodic valve lash (tappet) adjustments. Reduced maintenance; contributes to better combustion with the spin-off effect of better fuel efficiency; reduces mechanical noise at the valve train area contributing to a lower basic noise level.

Gallery cooled Piston

The maximum piston temperature must be controlled to prevent premature piston wear and engine damage. The piston can be cooled by an oil spray jet directed at the bottom of the piston.

Bed Plate Design

Bed plate for main bearing support makes the engine rugged and suitable for heavy duty applications. This feature not available in any comparable engine in India.

Ceramic Coated Piston Rings for wear resistance

The ceramic crown coating can withstand temperatures of up to 1300°C and pressures of up to 69,000 kPa (10,000 psi). This helps to keep the piston cooler and reduces friction, which stops it from softening and failing prematurely, from high combustion chamber temperatures.

Centrally placed injector for better combustion

Centrally placed injector for better combustion: A central injector position is advantageous in that its downward spray direction reduces the risk of the fuel coming into contact with cylinder walls and helps in better combustion.

Off-set of Liner and Crank Shaft Center Lines

Reduces Piston Slap (harsh repetitive sound). Contributes to lower mechanical noise of the engine.

Auto Belt Tensioner

Eliminates the need for periodic manual belt tension adjustments. Reduced maintenance and increased DG availability.

Compacted Graphite Cylinder Head

A compacted graphite (CGI) cylinder head designed to improve the power density of the engine.
